My kit for making my popular bamboo baby will walk you through it step by step. Learn how to make a traditional doll's head using heritage craft techniques. Work with pure wool and create a doll filled with love.
The kit includes a comprensive instruction booklet and all the materials you need to make the doll. This kit is for adults with at least basic sewing skils.
The sock included in the kit is the one shown on the made example doll, and you can choose your skintone and eye colour at checkout.

- 2.5cm width tubular gauze
- Strong linen thread
- Wool batting (3 x 24” lengths, 2 x 15” length)
- Chop stick
- Tapestry needle
- Doll needle
- Milliners needle
- Gutermann strong thread
- Skintone fabric
- Embroidery thread for eyes and mouth
- Bamboo sock
- Circular gauge
- Cloth impregnated with blush
Not in the kit (available in a good haberdashery)
- Glass headed pins
- Water erasable fabric pen
- Crochet hook (3 - 3.5mm)
- Sew all thread
- Sewing machine with a ball point needle
- Fabric scissors
- Optional: permanent brown fabric marker pen (for freckles). I use Giotto textile decor pen.
