Role play allows children to explore their ideas about the world and develop empathy through imagination.

Children are most likely to engage in play that explores the real world around them. For example one of the classics is domestic play (mummys and daddys). This allows your little one to act out their home life, parenting, and household chores.

For some children imagined world play is more exciting - for example swimming with mermaids in the sea or going to a fairy world.

Others will enjoy acting out other people's lives - my daughters went through a phase of being campsite wardens!

They all have their place in your child's life and you know what they will most enjoy!

My baby dolls are perfect for domestic play, whilst the Emily and friends dolls make excellent buddies whilst exploring other scenarios.
